Connect Claude to Ruta.
The Ruta connector lets Claude work as you in the Ruta office — look up customers and visits, dispatch work, and send messages — with the same permissions as your office login.
What it connects.
Claude talks to the Ruta office over MCP, the same tool set as in-app Ruta. It is your office login acting from Claude — not the crew app, and not a customer profile.
Who can sign in.
Office owner or admin, with the same email and password you use on app.getruta.com. Crew-app logins and customer-profile logins cannot connect. After you sign in, Claude can only do what that office login can do.
What Claude can do.
The connector exposes the office tools. A short map:
- Look up. Customers, visits, services, crews, notes, billing issues, rate requests, and visits waiting for review (NEEDS_REVIEW), including billing exceptions, timing, notes, and photo links.
- Schedule. Dispatch, schedule, reschedule, or cancel visits. Complete or skip a visit (completing bills it). Flag a visit for review, or remove the flag.
- Write. Manage services and notes. Send a crew message or a customer campaign. Update the owner setup checklist.
- Your own desk. Your hours, your notification bell, and how-to help. The connector does not generate marketing images.
Preview, then confirm.
Anything that changes data or messages someone previews first. Claude calls the tool with confirmed false (or leaves it off). You see what would change. Nothing is written. After you say yes, it calls again with confirmed true.
That includes completing a visit, clearing notes, flagging or unflagging a visit, and updating setup. The only writes that skip preview are marking your own notification bell read — the same as tapping the bell.
How to use it.
Ask in ordinary words. When Claude shows a preview, read it before you confirm — especially a customer campaign: the full SMS and email text, who gets it, and how many. For a visit in review, the billing_exceptions field is why it is flagged. Completing a visit bills the customer.
If something does not work.
Claude will not sign in.
Use your Ruta office email and password — owner or admin. A crew-app login or a customer-profile login is refused.
A tool says I do not have permission.
The connector uses your office permissions. An admin who cannot send customer messages in Ruta cannot send them from Claude either.
Nothing changed after the first call.
That was the preview. Say yes and Claude calls again with confirmed true. If you did not mean it, stop there — nothing was written.
